Ginger Zalaba
Ginger Zalaba grew up among artists and designers. Originally she dreamt of owning a gallery. She graduated from Zurich University of the Arts with a master’s in exhibition design. After her father’s death, she took over her parents’ company in her mid-twenties and, with great determination, transformed it into the design studio she has managed since 2012. In the meantime she has studied interior design at the IED Institute of Design in Italy and made her début at the world’s leading furnishings show, the Salone del Mobile in Milan, with her own furniture collection in 2015.
Gio Ponti
Italian designer, architect and editor, Gio Ponti (1891-1993) is one of the most influential design visionaries of the 20th century. Ponti designed a wide array of furniture and products through his career - from cabinets, lamps and chairs to ceramics and glassware - and his buildings, including Pirelli tower in Milan, and Denver Art
Museum, were erected in 14 countries. Through Domus, the design magazine he founded in 1928, Ponti promoted a new curiosity and open-mindedness towards new design thinking.
Greta M. Grossman
Greta Magnusson Grossman (1906-1999) maintained a prolific forty-year career on two continents:
Europe and North America and operated as mover and shaker in the male dominated world of mid-century modern design. Her achievements were many and encompassed industrial design, interior design and architecture. In 1933, having successfully completed her fellowship at the renowned Stockholm arts institution, Konstfack, she opened Studio, a combined store and workshop in Stockholm. During the same
