Gavin Harris, one of Australia’s leading interior and product designers, has had a longstanding partnership with Designer Rugs. A collaboration that has led to the creation of three remarkable rug collections. The latest evolution is The Circadian Collection.

Circadian links to Gavin’s thinking and desire to explore movement + change. He was interested in how to show the passage of time, and the significance of each moment within in. Drawing inspiration from the Earth's movement around the sun and the vital energy it bestows upon all living beings, the Circadian Collection pays homage to the life-giving forces that shape our existence.

Calendar Stone – This is Harris’ favourite that has been detailed with a simple repeating element, proving movement, scale and also how they interconnect to the larger story, creating a dramatic visual.

Polaris – Has a unique cut-out design and is a graphic representation of the joinery and interlocking visuals of machinery through history.

Sundial – Like its namesake, speaks of the rhythm of life – the constant change and movement dictated by the passes of time.

Wavelength - A square rug with bevelled corners that evokes movement and its impact through space, how elements change throughout time and the energy. Each rug within the Circadian collection is hand tufted in 100% New Zealand wool and meticulously hand-carved to emulate the eternal dance between time and transformation.
