Bonderup & Thorup

Torsten Thorup and Claus Bonderup are both graduates from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture in 1969, and subsequently went to work together at Danish architect, Henning Larsen’s
studio in Copenhagen. The two architects teamed up professionally and worked together for the majority of
their careers. Together they have designed watches and in-store displays for Georg Jensen, the Arktikum
museum in Finland and the harbour area in Elsinore, where they designed everything, from urban planning to 

bernabeifreeman

bernabeifreeman was established in 2002 by Rina Bernabei and Kelly Freeman, an industrial design company focusing on surface decoration and patterning for interior products and finishes. They have earned an international reputation for creating award-winning products from perforated metal. Their products can be found at the Establishment Hotel and BLUE Hotel, Sydney. bernabeifreeman have recently ventured into textiles and homewares.

Barba Corsini

Barba Corsini (1916-2008) was a leading functionalist architect who won international praise for his architecture and his design for La Pedrera in Barcelona. Corsini was strongly inspired by the German architect Mies van der Rohe and the American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. He also had a great affinity to Finnish architecture, which he believed to be the finest in Europe on account of the powerful simplicity of the designs. 'Powerful simplicity' is perhaps an apt description of Corsini's personal design style, as represented by the Pedrera Collection.

Arnold Merckx

Arnold Merckx grew up in a family of carpenters and learned his trade skills at a very young age. After his graduation from the Academy of visual arts and technical science in Rotterdam, he wanted to gain more experience and completed his practical training with Kho Liang Ie in Amsterdam; and André Motte and Pierre Paulin in Paris. He founded his design studio ‘Arnold Merckx Design’ in 1978, but he actually received his first gold medal before founding his own company.

Armadillo

Armadillo was founded in 2009 by Jodie Fried and Sally Pottharst, driven by a desire to elevate age-old methods of craftsmanship through a uniquely Australian contemporary design process.

Annie Georgeson

Dr Jean Battersby, endorsing Annie's nomination for the Australia Council Emeritus Award in 1998. "I regard Annie Georgeson as one of the most original and creative designers working in the textile field. She works right across the textile field and has won many awards over the years for the quality and originality of her work. Her use of distinctively Australian imagery and colours in her work, in addition to her design talent, gives her work a particular character which is widely and rightly admired."

Anderssen & Voll

Anderssen & Voll is a Norwegian design duo, founded by Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll and based in Oslo. The duo have been named both Norwegian and Scandinavian Designers of the Year and have received international awards and recognition for their work with furniture, lighting, and home accessories.

Alastair Keating

Born in Auckland in 1976 Alastair Keating studied Product/Industrial design at Unitec in Auckland, New Zealand majoring in furniture. Alastair went on to work in the industry on a variety of commissioned projects as well as a stint at EON as a design consultant.

Akira Isogawa

Akira Isogawa is one of Australia's most celebrated fashion designers. He has achieved international recognition for his exquisite contemporary designs, which are sought after in every major fashion capital throughout the world.

Designer Rugs first collaborated with Akira in 2005 to create a limited edition range. Following on from the success of the first collection, Akira’s second rug collection ‘Kisetsu’ was launched during Fashion Week 2007 and his third rug collection 'Hirameki' launched in July 2012.
